The fields have been booked, the teams have been picked and we are set to go with MetroFooty 2004.
MetroFooty is played on a grass field about the same size as a soccer field, with the only rule modification
being that it is only 9-a-side. Andrew and myself sat down and picked what we thought to be even sides for the
two teams. If you don't see your name on the player list then please let me know and I will
allocate you to a team. On each of the Thursday MetroFooty nights we will play four 20 minute quarters.

RESULTS
Game 1
The kickoff to MetroFooty 2004 was a great success last Thursday night with the rain holding off and the field draining well. The South and East sides were combined to form the new Eastside team and the North side, who managed to get a full squad, was renamed to Seattle. We will play with these two teams for the remainder of the MetroFooty season - we decided this was a better option than swapping players all the time amongst partial teams. The game was close throughout with the Seattle team coming back in the final minutes before Chuck from the Eastside team ignored numerous leads and managed to kick the final goal from a free kick.
