Portland result 18 Sept

Portland had a lot of points, maybe 80+. Seattle had few points, 3.4.22.
Mark Bartlett played well in his premier game with Seattle. Peter Lindsey had a decent game in the backline. Thanks to Virgil, Wyatt, Morgan & Dave from Portland for playing on the Seattle team.

AFL Grand Final Function

Grizzlies NW Champs Again!

The Seattle Grizzlies went north and defeated the Burnaby Eagles in the NW Grand Final last Saturday. The opened with a win over Burnaby and then a close victory over Vancouver. That put them into the final against Burnaby. Score line was:
Seattle 10.5.65
Burnaby 7.9.51

There's a celebration at the Kangaroo & Kiwi on Monday, 12th in the evening.
Thanks to Martin, Auzzie & Craig for coming out and joining us in the victory.
Thanks to Vancouver & Burnaby for hosting the tournament again at what is unarguably the best footy pitch in North America.
Next up is Portland on Sunday the 18th (next Sunday) and then....
US Nationals!

THUNDERBIRD STADIUM, UBC (1:30-8:30)
Schedule;Game #1: Vancouver versus Burnaby1:30pm - 2:30pm 2 x 20 min halves.
Game #2: Winner Game #1 versus Seattle2:45pm - 3:45pm 2 x 20 min halves.
Game #3: Seattle versus Loser Game #14:00pm - 5:00pm 2 x 20 min halves.
KIDS PRESENTATIONS FOR TEAMS/B&F.
Grand Final: Top Ranked Team versus 2nd Ranked Team5:45/6:00pm - 7:15pm 4 x 15 min quarters.
GAME PLAYED UNDER LIGHTS!

** Top two teams determined by wins and/or percentage.There will be a Mayoral Presentation of the trophy immediately after the game and then drinks and conversation upstairs till 10:30pm.We have endeavoured to make this the showcase of footy for the Northwest and the committee feels strongly that the listed schedule will allow for this.

Practice Thursday Sept. 8th

Practice will be at 6:15pm, Thursday, Sept. 8th at Green Lake across from the Albertsons. The Grand Final in Vancouver is Saturday the 10th at Thunderbird Stadium. Carpooling arrangements will be made at practice. Reminder, there is also a game down in Portland on Sunday the 18th of September, more details later.
