Metro game on Wed, 31 Aug

In preparation for the final local games of the year we would like to have a good hitout. We have secured a good grass field at Fort Dent in Tukwila for next Wednesday August 31st from 6-8pm. We need to start games at
6:15 latest so everyone who can please be there by 5:45. A map is provided in the link below.

I need two RSVPs from all players: for Metrofooty at Fort Dent next Wednesday & the Vancouver trip on September 10th.
Also let me know if you can't make the early start at Fort Dent.

No Practice week of August 18th.

No practice Thursday, August 18th. Due to lack of players willing to go to Victoria, the Victoria game (27-28 August) will likely be postponed to another date.

Portland result 14 August

Ten of us Grizzlies went down to take on the Portland Power this weekend. The first and second quarters were fairly even with Portland eaking out an extra goal more than the Grizzlies in each quarter to have a two goal advantage at half time. In the third quarter Seattle only managed one goal and we found ourselves down by something like 5 goals. The Grizzlies turned it up in the fourth quarter and worked back into the game but ran out of time. The final score was: Portland 14.9.93 to Seattle 12.5.77
Best for Seattle: the new streamlined version of Aran Parker & Josh Anfinson. Also, everyone who made the trip down there.
A special thanks to Peter (from Portland) who played with us to give us a bench.

Congratulations to Vancouver Cougars for sweep.

Congratulations to the Vancouver Cougars for their sweep of the tournament this past Saturday. Seattle hosted Vancouver, Burnaby and a handfull from Victoria. Burnaby finished with a win over Seattle and dropped a very close game to Vancouver. Seattle was a dismal 0-2.
Thanks goes out to all the players from Vancouver, Burnaby & Victoria who came down for this.
