No Practice Week of June 2nd

A number of us are making the trip to Denver this week (there's still room for more; email Matty Muller if interested) so there will be no training. No doubt a few diehards will head to the K&K Thursday night to see if Muller will actually buy someone a beer for the first time.
We're looking to have a Metro game the week ending the 11th June so stay tuned.

Thursday Practice @ Greenlake at 6pm

This week we'll be at the Green Lake athletic fields at 6:00pm for training. If possible, we'll have a game/scrimmage.
Unfortunately we couldn't secure a field for a true Metro game, but we'll see about space at the lake. The goals and jumpers need to be brought along.
The field is located in the Northeast part of the lake next to the basketball courts and opposite the Albertsons.

Friendly Reminder

Dues are due to John Foley. They are $35 US currency. Please make checks out to S.A.R.F.C.
How do these dues compare with other sports? My rugby dues are $200 for the year and the cricket team I played on was $250 for the season.
What do you get for your annual $35, you may ask? We use the money to pay for fields for Metro games and games with other clubs. The dues also go toward the van rental costs at Nationals.
Other bennies, you may inquire? John will give you a friendly smile when you pay him, Muller will not visit you and best of all Donlen and Vanderwaal won't have to sit on you at the next practice.
Thanks for supporting your local Aussie Rules Team.

RSVP for Denver

JUNE 4 TOURNAMENT IN DENVER - Please RSVP There is a West Coast Tournament on June 4th weekend in Denver with other West Coast teams participating. I have managed to find tickets for $270 and I would assume hotel will be about $40 per person for the 2 nights. We'd leave 7pm on Friday night and get back at 11pm on the Sunday night. We really need to get a team together for this tournament to ensure that we get a good showing of West Coast teams at the other West Coast Tournament in July in Vancouver. We can take Portland/Vancouver players too. I have the seats on hold til Monday so I need to know ASAP if you are coming - remember that Denver came to Seattle last year so we need to return the favor.

RSVP to matt@seattlefooty.com

Annual General Meeting Notes

Goals for the year: win two games at Nationals/ establish 3 Metro footy teams through recruiting in 2005. The desire is to have 4 games in Seattle this year which helps recruiting. Muller will do the schedule ASAP.
One game against Victoria in Port Angeles has been proposed--Ian Cleary to investigate ground availability in PA.
John "Enron" Foley has taken on the Club Treasurer role. Dues for the year are $35.00 (make any checks out to SARFC). It gets you a jumper and pays for the field use during the year. He will also investigate the creating a social membership plan and advise accordingly.
Morts, Pedro, Jeremy will plan any social functions/fundraising activities--Josh Anfinson can help out with Sonics stuff if needed for raffles etc, Brad Howe will help out with venues and refreshments when required. First function of the year will be a jumper presentation night. Others will help out as requested.
Touzel, Stearns to handle field requests. Nate Hickok is willing to help as well.
T-Shirt/Apparel will be headed up by Pearce. Hickok has a design already and will handle this.
Dave Llewellyn may still be interested in giving them a hand.
Muller needs web content. Posting access will be granted to those with professional content.
