Footy News
METRO FOOTY THIS THURSDAY - August 5th We've got Metro Footy scheduled again for this Thursday night, 6-8 pm at the same place as last week (Lower Soundview Playfields in Ballard). Directions are here: http://www.seattlefooty.com/maps.shtml Last week there was a lower turnout, so this week should be good numbers. If you missed last week you can catch up with Darren "Mt Vesuvius" Barlow. As usual, please RSVP to your captain so we can get an expected head count. Eastside Captain - Bill Vanderwaal - bill@dgsi.com Seattle Captain - Jeremy Touzel - jeremytouzel@hotmail.com
AUGUST 21st GAME IN VICTORIA - RSVP Now Our next full game of footy is in Victoria, BC on August 21st against both Victoria and Vancouver (at a different ground). Please RSVP if you're interested in attending as I need to organise travel. Also let me know if you're interested in staying overnight and I'll look into that also. I am out of town that weekend but will book what you decide on. We can get the Victoria Clipper for $85 return which is the much faster (2 hours) and easier option than driving which is around $40 (5-6 hours).
2004 NATIONALS - RSVP Now Let me know if you're planning on coming to the Nationals in Atlanta on October 8 - 10. I have 25 seats booked on Delta (direct flight) for $330 per person at the moment. Excpect hotel to be about $20-$50/night/person and ~$20 per day for rental vans per person. I need to know numbers ASAP so that I can get back to Delta so RSVP NOW!
CHEAP FLIGHTS TO AUSTRALIA Qantas just release cheap tickets (<$1000 LAX return) to oz for travel between now and the end of the year (YES XMAS TIME!). They charge ~$300 for ex Seattle so you may want to get those tickets separate. http://www.qantasusa.com/webDeals/206
