July 17th Match Report
Seattle at Victoria After an even first half, Seattle managed to set up the win in the third quarter, kicking four goals to none. Big John Foley took over around the ground, Chris Stearns reduced the effectiveness of the Victoria onballers and Matty "The Rock" Muller continued to provide drive from the half-back line. In the final quarter, an early Shevlin goal was a big boost and Seattle held on to win by three goals, 9.6.60 to 6.6 36. Special mention must also go to the field umpire who resembled Brad Pitt. Thanks again to all who came up on the weekend-despite the ordeal getting there I think we all had fun and the result was sensational. Thanks also to the drivers and Rachel for organizing the vans and to the Parkers for supplying us beers. Be great to see lots of friends and families watching the game at Lake Washington High this week. Best players: Muller, Foley, Shevlin, Stearns, Parker, Hammer.
