FOOTY NEWS - September 15th

TUESDAYS WITH GARDSY - 6pm Tuesdays
Okay fellas, first of all well done for kickin' ass on Saturday. I'm bummed I couldn't make it and earn the right to wear the T-shirts that will follow. But I will still parade it proudly in front of the Canadians for the next 12 months. In the words of the late, great Teddy Whitten "Stick it up 'em"
Secondly, being such an unfit bugger I have decided I need that extra push to get off my lazy ass. So I have decided to start "Tuesdays with Gardsy" Between now and the Nationals I will be meeting at the Bowling Green in Green Lake (N 63rd and Whitman Avenue N) for a bit of extra fitness work. I will be calling upon my finest employee Jezza as my faithful assistant. He thinks he knows a few exercises or something, I don't know what he was muttering about and I wasn't really listening anyway.
We will meet at 6pm. Stretch it out and then start off with a leisurely warm up lap around the lake. This is a great opportunity to take in the scenery and check out some of the lovely ladies that frequent the Lake. If you are running late just head south of the bowling club to the open fields and stretch out and wait for us to return or you can run round the lake anti-clockwise to run into us (we'll be running clockwise).
When we get back to the grass area south of the bowling greens we'll get into the hard stuff.
I.e. Sprints, sit ups, push ups, and whatever anyone else wants to chip in. I'm afraid we will just have to wing it at first, but I do know you'll.....well.....I'll be stuffed after it. Anyone who is slower than me had better take a long hard look at themselves.
Later….Gardsy

THURSDAY TRAINING
We will be training this Thursday at 6pm - venue TBA.
